Our Chamber Committees are a driving force shaping the local business landscape. Each committee represents a facet of Alhambra, addressing critical issues, facilitating networking opportunities, and spearheading initiatives that elevate the overall business environment. From economic development to event planning, these committees help ensure that Alhambra remains a hub of innovation, opportunity, and community.

Policy Committees
The Government Affairs Committee drives policy positions for the Chamber, establishes its annual policy platform, and recommends formal positions to the Board on issues not assigned to other committees. This is also a monthly opportunity for members to connect directly with our elected representatives’ staff.
The Government Affairs Committee meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

The Chamber’s Land Use and Economic Development Committee advocates for permitting, zoning, and economic development policies that support the City's economic growth. The committee examines issues related to housing, zoning, business attraction and retention, transportation, and planning. The committee also serves as the Chamber’s Commercial Brokers/Developers Roundtable to address the challenges of property development and business attraction, including filling vacancies. Alhambra businesses are invited to bring issues that need support or resolution to this committee.
The Land Use and Economic Development Committee meets monthly on the first Thursday from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.

Sector Committees
The Restaurant Roundtable advocates for policies directly affecting Alhambra’s food service industry. The roundtable offers restaurants and other related businesses a chance to learn about new resources they can access and discover joint marketing opportunities. Attendees can raise issues that the Chamber will address in the coming months to support food services.
The Restaurant Roundtable committee meets quarterly on the first Tuesday of the month from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

The Nonprofit Council and Community EngagementCommittee aims to unite local non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and community leaders to strengthen Alhambra’s non-profit sector through shared resources and networking, while directly advocating for youth education, development, and community service initiatives.

Through advocacy, education, and community initiatives, the committee strives to create a more vibrant and healthier future for Alhambra.
The Health & Wellness Committee meets monthly on the third Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

International Business Affairs Committee
The International Business Affairs Committee aims to foster global trade and connect local businesses with international economic opportunities. The committee achieves this by educating companies on importing and exporting, while building strategic relationships with foreign consulates, trade offices, and international delegations. Ultimately, it serves as a vital advocate for policies that encourage foreign direct investment and strengthen the local region's position within the global economy.
The International Business Affairs Committee meets monthly on the second Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Working Committee
The Chamber Ambassadors often serve as the welcoming face of Alhambra and the Chamber. Their primary purpose is to connect people at events, advocate for local businesses, and support current Chamber members in utilizing the organization's benefits and resources. By fostering connections, promoting businesses, and creating a more inclusive and vibrant atmosphere, the Ambassadors play a crucial role in enhancing the local business ecosystem and strengthening community bonds.
