The Government Affairs committee heard presentations about a few ballot measures on the California November ballot. The committee voted to support Proposition 2 for a state-wide education bond. This bond, if passed, could make Alhambra USD eligible for as much as $64.5 million in state match funding. The committee also voted to support Proposition 36 addressing retail theft, homelessness, and drug addiction in hopes of protecting local businesses suffering from the risk of theft.
