City of Alhambra-Night Out Against Crime

8/4/15 5:00PM - 8:30PM
Location: Alhambra Police Headquarters, 211 S. First St., Alhambra

The Alhambra Night Out Against Crime will include informational programs, safety displays, force options simulator, safe escape, police demonstrations, and police station tours. Everything at this event will be free.

This National Night Out is intended to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals to let them know that neighborhoods are organized and are fighting back.

The development of a positive police and community partnership is one of the aims for Night Out. When the police department and the community work together, it sends a message to criminals: “We’re organized, and we’re working together to improve our community, and you’re not welcome here.”

Night Out Against Crime is a national effort to promote the public’s involvement in crime prevention through the development of police and community partnerships. It’s an effort that takes place in more than 16,000 communities throughout the U.S.
