Award winning Chef Bill Yee provided his 5-star hotel style omelet catering services to 500 health care workers on the COVID-19 front line at Mission Community Hospital in Panorama City in July.

Chef Yee, who is also the managing director of the well-known Alhambra Performing Arts Center and owner of the Alhambra Culinary School, was invited by ACF Western Region VP and hospital Executive Chef Robert Phillips to bring his L.A. Omelets Catering Service for the doctors, nurses, med-techs, and general staff to the hospital as appreciation for them working under difficult conditions during the current COVID-19 world-wide pandemic. Chef Yee and his professional assistants Chefs Anne de Bonrepos and Katelyn Hilst created an outdoor pop-up restaurant starting at 4 a.m. for the night shift. A short video of the event can be seen at LA Omelets Mission Hospital July 14, 2020 YouTube.

“Our health care workers work in dangerous and exhausting environments, and you and your team were very happy to provide a little distraction with tasty made-to-order omelets, hot gourmet coffee, fresh OJ, and great music,” wrote Mission Community Hospital President Jim Theiring to Chef Yee. "It was the most popular spot at the hospital for these few hours. Food was great! Thanks, chef, for coming out. Let's do it again soon."
