The proceeds will go toward educational programs and the scholarship fund. Whether involved with the school or not, everyone is invited to this event in support of the students and to grow new relationships in the Alhambra community.
The Academy of Special Dreams Foundation will honor a distinguished Latino leader, Fernando De Necochea, who has worked to foster a more inclusive society and better the Latino community in the greater Los Angeles area Saturday, Oct. 20.
As always, the luncheon will feature local community and business leaders who will serve lunch while in costume.
The Boys and Girls Club will present its third annual “Great Futures for Kids” fundraising breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the San Gabriel Hilton, 225 W. Valley Blvd., San Gabriel.
A fundraising event for the Academy of Special Dreams will take place Thursday, Sept. 15. The Academy provides financial support and public awareness to artists in the special needs community.
East Los Angeles College will unveil its new Campus Center Bookstore, the Student Success Center, and the new Campus Quad at a ribbon cutting ceremony as part of the college’s Cinco de Mayo celebration at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, on the Campus Quad, 1301 Avenida Cesar Chavez, Monterey Park.
