A reception begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by luncheon at noon.
Nearly 20 local businesses and agencies support and participate in the program, providing vocational experience for students.
“Improving the quality of patient care in hospitals is critically important,” said Dr. Ghaly. “These annual measurements through Cal Hospital Compare allow us to acknowledge hospitals doing excellent work and also inform hospitals when improvement is needed.”
Alhambra Hospital Medical Center is one of only 51 hospitals in California to achieve an “A” for the third consecutive time.
This marks the fourth consecutive time that Alhambra Hospital Medical Center has been named to the list by the publisher, which includes Becker’s Hospital Review and other publications.
The program, sponsored by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE), is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and districts that are improving student outcomes.
The 24th Annual Outstanding Business of the Year Award, presented by last year’s winner Evike Chang of Evike.com, went to Stephen Chan of GE Properties. The “Distinguished Community Service Award,” presented by Valarie Gomez, C.E.O. of the YMCA of West San Gabriel Valley, went to Joe Pavon of Al’s Towing.
Helen Romero Shaw, SoCal Gas, will be installed as president of the Alhambra Chamber Board of Directors June 7.
