Although Covid-19 has forced cancellations of mainstay activities, it doesn’t mean seniors can’t still be celebrated for their amazing achievements.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of West San Gabriel Valley & Eastside have provided bulk food and emergency supplies as well as hot meals from local restaurants directly to families across all of their six club locations.
“Many families are hurting right now because of this emergency,” said Mayor Ross Maza. “The city wants to help provide some relief in these uncertain times.”
To maintain the safety of families and staff, FNS started a new Grab & Go schedule April 8, and it will continue throughout the rest of the school year.
Republic Services recognizes its frontline employees, their families, and small business customers across the country.
At this event, funds were raised to help the Special Olympics organization provide Olympic-type sports training and athletic competition year-round for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Local charitable organizations and food banks, who serve low-income families in the San Gabriel Valley, will receive the donated turkeys.
