Alhambra Educational Foundation (AEF) will register students for its popular Summer High School and K-8 Summer Academy programs, to be held this year for five weeks Monday through Friday.

The future of a community is determined by how it cares for its children
When students have exceeded and demonstrated higher developed skills, they are placed in the Cream of the Crop program where they have the opportunity to further their skills to becoming professional players.
This year, the honorees will be The Alhambra Educational Foundation, Reyna Del Haro Kaiser Permanente Foundation, SCE Foundation, and the Nicole Tilley, William H. Tilley Foundation. All of them have been superheroes in their support of the Y.
As always, the luncheon will feature local community and business leaders who will serve lunch while in costume.
The Boys and Girls Club will present its third annual “Great Futures for Kids” fundraising breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the San Gabriel Hilton, 225 W. Valley Blvd., San Gabriel.
A four-month construction project to revitalize the area surrounding the Almansor Gym will include six new basketball half-courts and one new full court; new public restrooms; new shade structures; and new open green space for picnics.
