Angel Silva wins $2,500 college scholarship and continues journey to become National Youth of the Year.
William Wayne's movie Lost Angelas, a psychological thriller that explores the dark side of the movie business, was entered in local film festivals and received awards and good reviews. It will have its opening weekend at The Laemmle Pasadena Playhouse 7 Theater Friday June 14.
The weeklong event generated a lot of buzz, attracting Alhambra locals and in-the-know foodies, along with new patrons in neighboring Los Angeles cities.
Seating at Ritter’s bar counter has a wonderful view of the rows of steam kettles where foods are prepared and cooked by the chef. This innovative style of cooking has a specific setting of temperature, and the surface area of the kettles makes cooking the food evenly and fast to prevent overcooking.
PopRock Academy celebrated its 6-year-anniversary Aug. 18. The festivities continued throughout the week with free candy and free registration for students and guests.
“The school is blessed to have such an environment such as this garden on the 6.2 acre campus to be able to share nature up close with the students,” said Ms. Hittinger.
One hundred percent of funds raised at the event benefit Soroptimist's programs.The programs improve the lives of women and girls locally and globally. Local boutiques will be featured in the show.
The City of Alhambra’s Veterans Day Celebration will begin at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, at the Veteran’s Memorial, northwest corner of Alhambra Park, with an emphasis on honoring the remaining veterans of World War II.
