It was a picture-perfect day for Ramona's traditional graduation ceremony where 71 graduates walked down the aisle with confidence and joy.
The 24th Annual Outstanding Business of the Year Award, presented by last year’s winner Evike Chang of Evike.com, went to Stephen Chan of GE Properties. The “Distinguished Community Service Award,” presented by Valarie Gomez, C.E.O. of the YMCA of West San Gabriel Valley, went to Joe Pavon of Al’s Towing.
Guests on campus for the day included teachers, principals, parents, and friends. The competitive spirit was fierce, yet everyone had a great time.
Andrea's school community looks forward to seeing her further develop as a leader with her new responsibilities.
The Holy Family Room at Ramona Convent Secondary School was filled to capacity with prospective members of the class of 2023 and their remarkable women as guests of current student ambassadors and their amazing moms.
"These tours provide a sense of internal motivation that students just don't get by looking at pictures on websites or looking at a brochure,” said Alberto Chavarria, director of Guidance and College Counseling.
“These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their school plays in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation.”
Nationally known "Nun on the Bus," Sister Simone Campbell, is keynote speaker at Women's Symposium celebrating 125th anniversary of Ramona Convent Secondary School.
