An art collection empowering artists is being hosted at the new home of the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation, The Alhambra, 1000 S. Fremont Ave.
The exhibition gives a voice to people with disabilities by letting them express themselves as they seek equality and to be part of society.
The public is invited to stop by and view the art.
Michael Dergar, an impressionist artist and founder of the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation, had a mission to inspire and create a more inclusive society.
The exhibition features original works of art by 20 local and international artists, including artists with disabilities, who brought their unique art pieces depicting Frida Kahlo's legendary life, art, and legacy.
The Academy of Special Dreams Foundation believes that all persons, regardless of their disabilities, should have equal opportunities to express their talents and to be successful in the arts.
The October Disability Art Exhibit at Los Angeles City Hall featured Academy of Special Dreams Foundation and LIFT artists.
