On Aug.15, the Certified Alhambra Farmers Market will celebrate its 37th year Blowout Anniversary of service to Alhambra residents and folks who live nearby with free punch and cake while supplies last (so get there early). Local shoppers have enjoyed the California grown fresh fruit and produce from Alhambra’s own farmers market since 1984, from farms to table. Come visit the market, stroll along the stalls serving up fresh produce and enjoy the many regional food offerings cooked up for customers to enjoy on the spot.
The market is also proud to offer, on this special anniversary day, a free craft event for children 12 years and under to create, take home, and enjoy. There will also be a free raffle for a commemorative farmers market 37th year anniversary shirt. The anniversary event takes place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Winners will be announced the following week. There is a limit of one craft per child, and all crafts are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
This event is sponsored by the City of Alhambra Certified Farmers Market. For more information about the farmers market, please call 626-570-5081 Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The farmer’s market takes place at 100 S. Second St., between Main Street and Commonwealth Avenue. It is open every Sunday, except Easter, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. rain or shine. EBT, farmers market WIC, and senior WIC are all accepted.
Due to ongoing concerns about COVID-19 and its variants, the farmers market is adhering to the guidelines set by the State of California, Los Angeles County, and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
