The Alhambra Civic Center Library will reopen in a phased approach to ensure the health and safety of the community.
Beginning Nov. 3, the library will be open to the public for essential services only.
Operating hours will be:
Monday Curbside pickup from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday Open for essential services from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday Open for essential services from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday Open for essential services from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday Curbside pickup from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“We appreciate your patience as we resume offering essential library services again,” said Hilda LohGuan, library director. “As we move forward, we will evaluate our services to continue offering the community an enriching experience.”
Patrons are asked to limit library use to 30 minutes only for express services such as checking out materials, getting a new library card, requesting information, making photo copies, printing documents, or using computers.
Curbside pickups can be scheduled by e-mailing refstaff@alhambralibrary.org or calling staff at 626-570-3212. As a reminder, the First Street and Second Street book drops are open, all due dates will continue to be automatically extended, and no late fines will be charged during this period.
Library guests are required to follow health guidelines, which includes wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing by maintaining six feet of distance from others.
While library hours are limited, it’s easy to access the collection of books, movies, music, and more 24/7 online at https://alhambralibrary.org/.
