St. Thomas More Catholic School celebrates Career Day with first responders from local communities.

The Alhambra Police Department shared what a K-9 police officer does.

Career Day at St. Thomas More Catholic School was an inspiration to the students as well as the faculty and staff. They were visited by first responders from Alhambra, San Gabriel, and Pasadena who talked about their careers and discussed the hard work, determination, and education needed to succeed in each field.

Students were able to learn how challenging the job of being a first responder can be. The Alhambra Police Department shared what a K-9 police officer does. The Pasadena Police Department landed a helicopter onto the play yard and allowed children a close-up look. The San Gabriel Firefighters allowed the children to climb on board the fire truck.

Several parents and friends also shared their talents, skills, and experience including a data architect and an empowerment comedian. Special thanks to all the speakers who shared their skills, knowledge, and passion to inspire the students to dream and start planning for their future.
