Ramona Convent Link Leaders welcome new students

Student Orientation Link Leaders Denise Chavez, Gloria Fernandez, and Tiger prepare to welcome new students to Ramona with spirit and enthusiasm.

Upon entrance to the school gym, new students were greeted with enthusiastic cheers as they entered a mini pep rally complete with a school mascot appearance from the Tiger. After a brief introduction from Principal Mary E. Mansell, they listened to a presentation about water conservation and recycling.

Link Leaders then shared information about how to get involved at Ramona. Breakout sessions allowed them to get to know their classmates, student leaders, and course schedules. Their orientation ended with a tour of the 19-acre campus to help prepare them for the first day of school. The Link Orientation program is a yearlong program that bridges the connection between Link Leaders and freshmen that continues throughout the year to support the freshmen and transfer students.
