Spend ‘An Evening at Hogwarts’ at library’s annual fundraiser

Last year’s Table of Contents Dinner Chapter Four: Tales of the Alhambra

There is a secret that everyone should know. It is that the Alhambra Public Library Friends Foundation’s Annual Fundraiser is the best party in town. Each party has a theme, and this year’s Table of Contents Dinner: Chapter Five is “An Evening at Hogwarts,” which will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the Alhambra Civic Center Library, 101 S. First St.

The event will celebrate more than 20 years of Harry Potter Magic from the series of books, films, theme park attractions, and more by world famous author J.K. Rowling.

The evening will feature a unique dining experience in Hogwart’s (the library’s) Great Hall and offer visits to Diagon Alley and the Sorting Hat. There will be a chance to obtain Opportunity Baskets. The entrance fee to Hogwarts is $75 per person or $130 per couple.

The proceeds from the evening will be used by the foundation to benefit library programs such as the popular summer reading clubs for children, teens, and adults; new library collections; educational and family programs; and cultural programs for all ages, etc.
