You Can Read Anywhere Family Fair to celebrate reading April 13 at Alhambra Park

Students and families are invited to participate in the second annual You Can Read Anywhere Read Across America Family Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Alhambra Park, 500 N. Palm Ave.

Co-hosted by the Alhambra Teachers Association, Alhambra Unified School District, and the Alhambra Educational Foundation, the Family Fun Reading Fair expects a crowd of more than 900. Every child receives at least two free books and free snacks and can join in craft projects and enjoy music and live theater organized by Alhambra High student clubs and their teacher-advisers. Themed reading stations from campsites to castles invite families and children to read books in many languages.

In order to make this event a success, donations of new or gently used books are always welcome as are snacks or monetary donations.
