There is more to Alhambra Nissan than just cars

Nissan is well known for making quality cars, and Alhambra Nissan is the place to go to get one. But there is more to this local dealership than just cars. There are employees who are active in serving and making a difference in the community.

The commitment to service starts at the top. The company encourages employees to take advantage of a program called Volunteer Time Off (VTO). The company gives eight hours of full pay each year for employees to take a day to serve their community. Employees have gotten creative and have used VTO to help sell Girl Scout cookies, volunteer for church functions, go on Boy Scout camp outs, and assist in organizing a Martin Luther King Day parade.

Employee Lisa Guzman used her VTO to cook and serve food for her son’s football team and the cheer squad prior to the Mark Keppel High School Varsity game in October 2017. Beyond the VTO, Lisa and her husband Francisco Guzman, who also works at the dealership, serve on the Board of the East Alhambra Little League program. Employee Maribel Muñoz used the VTO to volunteer for her son’s Little League game.

During Thanksgiving and again at Christmas time, the 80 employees at Alhambra Nissan divide into three teams and compete in the collection of toys, canned goods, and toiletries for local charities like Toys for Tots and homeless agencies.

There are a lot of good things going on at Alhambra Nissan. The next time you need a car, go see them.
