The Alhambra Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual “Play FORE the Kids” Golf Tournament, in scramble format, at Alhambra Golf Course on Oct. 19. The event raises funds for the Chamber’s annual scholarship program.
Winners of the Corporate Challenge Cup were Alhambra Hospital #1 in first place, team score 52; UPS Center in second place, team score 57; and Alhambra Hospital #2 in third place, team score 58.
The Mondragon Group won first place in the Open Competition, team score 62. Big T Mini Mart was second, team score 62; and Pepsi was third, team score 64.
First place in the Women’s category was Southern California Gas Company, team score 65.
In other challenges, Carlos Silva won Closest to Pin #7; James Lin Jr., Closest to Pin #15; Kathy Barr, Closest to Pin Women’s #7; Margaret Yasuda, Closest to Pin Women’s #18; Clark Karlado, Putting Challenge; Ray Avalas, Longest Drive Men’s; and Kathy Barr, Longest Drive Women’s.
Title Sponsors were Alhambra Hospital Medical Center and Evike.com.
Corporate Sponsors were Republic Services; Al’s Towing, hosting “Tips With a Pro;” Southern California Gas Co; UPS; Transtech Engineering; and the Alhambra Police Foundation.
