Alhambra Fire Department Station #1, 301 N. First St., will offer its annual Open House and Pancake Breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 14, during National Fire Prevention Week.
Tours of the station will be conducted, and there will be Fire Department demonstrations and fire safety information that attendees will receive, including information concerning the Department’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program that prepares residents to be partners in safety during major community emergencies or disasters.
Youngsters in attendance will learn important safety tips as they tour the department’s Fire Safety House.
The event is free, but donations will be accepted and the proceeds will be forwarded to the Alhambra Emergency First Responders Fund, which is made available by fire and police personnel to residents in need of emergency assistance.
