Fashion and flowers made a great combo on June 4 as Vidorra hosted a fun floral workshop at its boutique, located in the Alhambra Place shopping complex. Guests who purchased advance tickets online had a chance to learn the basics of floral bouquet design, taught by MDS Florist.
MDS Florist, owned by Jean Preciado, has two locations — one in Arcadia and the other in South Pasadena. “We were excited to collaborate on this event with Vidorra, as it was a great opportunity to expose our respective businesses to new clients,” said Ms. Preciado.
“Events like this floral workshop are a great way to connect with customers, new and existing,” said Liza Rodriguez, Vidorra storeowner. “Oftentimes, they stay a little longer to shop and mingle with us, as well as other shoppers.”
Marisa Bosquez-White, MDS’ floral designer, taught each of the three afternoon sessions that were offered. She gave a tutorial on how to select flowers and arrange and take care of them, while the students followed along and created their own beautiful bouquets. Attendees also enjoyed some bubbly, as well as light bites from neighboring eatery Habit Burger. Plus they walked away with great goody bags of swag.
Vidorra plans to have more events in the future. To learn more, sign up for the store’s mailing list on its Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/shopvidorra/.
