Earlier this year, Fanny Rivas opened Fanny’s Housekeeping and Tax Service Agency at 940 E. Main St. in Alhambra. This full service housekeeping agency offers cleaning services for residential homes and businesses. While this business is relatively new, Fanny has 30 years of experience being a housekeeper and a nanny. She started this business because she felt there was a lack of housekeeping agencies in Alhambra.
Ms. Rivas employs six people, three are Alhambra residents, and she added the income tax portion of her business because she wanted to diversify her service offering. Ms. Rivas is fully bilingual and can work with Spanish speaking clients. For the tax portion of the business, she primarily concentrates on personal income tax returns and small business tax services.
For the cleaning service side of her business, Ms. Rivas is available for home and business cleaning. She requests that clients call at least a week in advance so that she can send someone out for an estimate. She can also work on shorter notice depending upon availability. In addition to residential and business cleaning, Fanny’s Housekeeping Agency provides real estate cleaning services. She knows how to get a home ready to put on the market and understands the importance of a deep cleaning when a home is about to have new occupants. Employees of Fanny’s Housekeeping Service show up to a job with a red shirt that has the business name on it along with their own supplies and equipment.
“I’m proud of the services that we provide. Housekeeping is often unappreciated, but it’s very tiring work and requires an attention to detail. I’m happy to provide housekeeping services for homes and businesses in Alhambra and the surrounding area. I love this community,” Ms. Rivas said.
One of Ms. Rivas’s goals is to give back to the local schools because her children attended public school in Alhambra. Ms. Rivas lives in Montebello, but she did live in Alhambra for 16 years. She was involved at Granada Elementary School when her children attended that school. As her business grows, she will look for ways to become involved again in the local schools.
Fanny’s Housekeeping provides cheerful and thorough service. The business is insured and bonded.
