Joanna Vargas, from The Fit Factor Studio, 38 W. Main St., was the speaker at the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce’s Secrets for Your Success program on March 17. She gave the audience tangible tools to use for obtaining new habits to improve productivity in life and business.
“It’s more than a standard formula for success,” said Ms. Vargas. “It's a step-by-step process that will put you on the fast track to improving your life and business.”
Ms. Vargas inspired the audience by sharing how she redefines what it means to be a “bad ass” in business and life. “I purposely use the phrase “bad ass’ because it tends to trigger people, and the typically negative reaction wakes people up to a new cutting edge way of thinking about success in their business and lives.”
The three secrets to success she revealed during the training included:
“Establish a morning routine that sets you up for success.”
“Instead of breaking a habit, create new habits that will set you up for success. Breaking a habit is often a lot harder and you can feel like you failed.”
“Surround yourself with things and people that support your success. Be aware of the things you listen to, watch, and read. In addition, you’re the average of the five people closest to you, so be vigilant about who you spend most of your time with.”
“The biggest lesson I wanted everyone to remember was to acknowledge where you’re at in life and business and then define where you want to go,” said Ms. Vargas. “Once you are aware of these important steps, you will be able to create your own GPS for success.”
The Secrets for Your Success program is presented at noon the third Thursday of each month at the Chamber. For more information, contact the Chamber at 626-282-8481.
